On the last Tutor Marked Assessment for the Open University Maths Course, MS324, I got 96 out of 100.

This means I averaged 93% overall on this course, and now have only the exam to do.

Udacity ST101

I did the Udacity - Intro to Statistics course today and got a certificate with highest distinction, getting 100% in the final exam.

Online courses

There are free online courses available.

I have signed up for Cryptography at Coursera

The course started yesterday, and I have got 95% on the week 1 homework problem and 100% on the week 1 computer programming problem.

Cryptography is very interesting, and it was hard work to break the codes and read what the messages were before they were coded.

I also recently did the Intro to Physical Sciences and the Introduction to Computer Science courses at Udacity

On both of them I got 100%, although both were hard work.

Two more students reported results.

One got a B in Further Maths AS, and also a B in Maths AS. As she was doing six modules at once, this is a good result.

Another student got an overall A, including a result of 97% in C3.

Results A-Levels June 2012

One of my students has just reported her A-Level results for the exam in June 2012. She got an A in maths. Congratulations.

Another student went from a 'U' in S1 before tuition to a grade 'D'. We did not have very many lessons, so this is good progress.

Another student got an A overall in maths, including 96% in Mechanics. Congratulations!

I have now submitted the final part of the coursework (CMA42) for the Open University Maths Course MST209. It is not due until the end of September, so I can now relax until the examination in October.

More AS Level results

One of my students reported her results in the January 2012 exams. She went up from a D in C2 to a grade B. She also went up in statistics from a grade C to a grade B.

More GCSE results

Another student achieved the C grade she wanted in the March exams. Another student is in set 7. In his recent mock exams, he got the highest mark of anybody in sets 7,6 , 5 and 4!

Another got an B in C3, and a B in S2.

Another got an A in S1 and an A in C2. Also a B in C3, one mark from an A, and a B in S2.

Another student got a D in C1. As she had only got a B in GCSE, this is not a bad result.

3 more students have reported A-Level results from the recent exams.

Two of them got a B in C3, just 1 mark off an A.

One also got a B in S2.

Another got a B in a C2 resit, up from a grade E before tuition.

The third got a D in C1. As he had only got a grade B in GCSE Maths, this was not a bad results.

So far, three of my students have reported their results for the Jan 2012 exams.

Two got an A in C1, and one of them got a B in C3, just one mark from an A. The third got an A in D1.

Open University Progress

I have today finished the TMA (Tutor Marked Assessment) 02 for the Open University Maths Course , MST209, and also the TMA02 for MS324.

They were both quite hard work.

I just have to print them out now.
